Placements are on the 1st of every month.
Additional placements may occur throughout the month
if there are still apps in the queue.
Who can app: Anyone the mods know is fine, and people who are friends of people in the game are also going to be cool. Generally speaking we will remain pretty laid back about who can app, but if you're unsure, just ask.
How many can I app: Each player can app two characters!
Characters that can be apped: Original characters and canon characters who have been AU’d into the setting. Doubles are fine too and for player avatars 300% encouraged. Please have same model drama, we swear to god please,
Characters that can’t be apped: others
For OCs, the only requirement is that you make sure their background fits the irl world (kinda shitty cyberpunk where there’s also a million natural disasters all the time and all associated problems but otherwise the same as our Earth). If they’re in a coma, this is completely irrelevant to you. If they’re one of those weirdos who pretends to be someone else on the internet or have otherwise written about their OC donut steel, then their avatar’s backstory should also fit in the game’s high fantasy solarpunk general feel.
If you are AUing a canon character, then you can either:
1) Just AU or expy them into the real world setting and play them as a regular person playing a character on the internet like everyone else, or
2) When filling out the app you can choose the “Erased Identity” corruption (detailed here). The idea here is that your character is a nerd and just made their avatar xXPrince VegetaXx because DBZ is like my favourite anime guys! In this case you will be playing someone who just straight up thinks they are and always have been Whatever Published Character This Is. Due to this theoretically you should also choose “Coma”, so your Doom Guy doesn’t wake up in cyberpunk New York and proceed to rip and tear or something but you are not actually stopped from doing this. If you want to AU a canon character into the MMO world and then have them drive your character’s body outside of the game as a background thing that will be 100% hilarious and therefore allowed.
The limitations for the AUs are essentially just:
1. Characters obviously won’t have powers backstory-wise that are out of line for whatever their class is or whatever their unique item grants them -- and in actual play, they will only be able to use listed skills.
2. The general setting tone should be kept in mind! While this applies to OCs as well, with AUs the setting is open enough that you can directly transplant most of a character’s general themes into the setting, but not 100%. If you want to app a superhero then “guy uses powers/vast riches to fight crime extralegally because with great power comes great respronsibility and dead loved ones” is fine, but the specifics should fit within the fantasy/solarpunk/magitech feel of the setting and in the case of canons that take place in Basically Real Life please do not transplant things that are just straight up from actual irl with literally zero modification I swear to god don’t you dominic deegan battle of the bands me here.
Other than that, go crazy! Ancient fox princess from far away Sunrise Land? Sure! Red Triangle Crisp and Green Sugar Juice Gremlin who fights golems in her magic rabbit armour that has lasers and shit and transmits her fights to scrying pools across the continent? Sure! Character Background: A simple background overview, including your character’s avatar’s Deep Lore if they’re roleplaying or otherwise just have established it. If they’re identity erased, just give us the avatar’s background. This doesn’t need to be detailed. You can do a few sentences or bullet points, either is fine.
Character Personality: Same as above, but with personality. We’d like a bit more detail here, but not any more than 200 words. If we’ve seen you play this character before and you want to just go “hi I’m Friend and this is Horribleman” that is completely acceptable. There’s a nonzero chance one or both of us has already read an app you wrote for that character anyway,
Suitability: Tell us what you plan for this character and how they’ll deal with the circumstances of .A//PD. Also how your character works in a team, what kind of people they do/don’t get along with, and so on. This is the least chill part of this app so while most of the rest of this is basically 0 effort, some work is expected here.
Personal Item: The object to your left is your weapon of choice when you are isekai’d away into an MMO! This can be literally anything, from your character’s grandmother’s favourite rocking chair to a replica of Cloud Strife’s sword they have for nerd reasons. It doesn't have to be anything even usable as a weapon, clothing or jewelry for example are fine. In addition, a personal item grants one ability you get to design yourself! The only restrictions are that they should be somewhat reasonable (no instadeath stuff or otherwise long range unavoidable limitless “and now you’re useless” abilities, mostly) and not overlap too much with any of the Guild abilities. Weapons can come in a set (for example, dual swords or a suit of armour), but will still only provide one ability. While anyone can pick up and use anyone’s personal item, only its owner can actually use its ability.
Also it goes without saying the object used can get COOLIFIED during the transfer, so a modern bow can become a cool bow made of light and replica weapons can become the actual thing.
What kind of things you like to play: Comfort levels, things you enjoy, etc. A few sentences is fine.
Guild Preferences: Tell us if there’s any particular guilds you’d like to prioritize or avoid being placed into, any particular people or characters you want to play with or not play with, etc.
The Most Important Field: if you dont give us at least 1 rare meme or funny gif or pithy comment, you’re banned from this game PERMANENTLY. and FOREVER
If you would like to reapply with a dropped character, just leave a comment here with their name, journal, and original guild. Linking to your original application, putting in assorted gifs, or otherwise sassing your mods are all optional but highly encouraged. If you would like to have your character return on a different Guild or have had them pick up some corruptions due to extended coma/letting AI drive their avatar/helmet broke, let us know about that too.

Myca's book allows them to "read" from it and declare any short, one sentence scenario - this will cause the scenario to become real. Scenarios should be storytelling cliches, for the most part. Think along the lines of something like "it was a dark and stormy night" or "it was a bright and sunny day" changing the time of day and weather (in a local area), or "they all met in a bar" transporting everyone in the area to a bar. "Call me Ishmael" would force everyone to refer to them as Ishmael, etc. All effects are temporary.

Delight's stand, 「GAMER FUEL」, is actually a can of corrosive acid! Depending on the dosage, anyway. It works both ingested and on skin contact, but is stronger when ingested. In small doses, it provides a burst of energy and removes the need to sleep for about a day, but in large doses it burns away at anything it comes into contact to and causes severe sleep depredation effects.
